Community & Platform Associate

  • On-site
    • Berlin, Berlin, Germany

Job description

As Community & Platform Associate at Point Nine, you’ll be the engine behind the scenes - making sure our founder experience is seamless, thoughtful, and genuinely useful. You’ll help keep our Platform efforts running tightly - operationally, logistically, and creatively.

You’ll run platform ops, own projects, and ensure our community initiatives are well-organised and well-executed. You’ll work closely with Laura (Director of Platform) and take the lead on getting things done - from founder onboarding to event planning to keeping our online community active and engaged.

This is a hands-on, highly operational role. You’ll be trusted with full ownership of your work. Some days will be spreadsheet-deep, others people-facing - and often, you’ll be the one to quietly fix things no one else has noticed yet.

What you will do:

  • Keep things organised. Track timelines, manage budgets, keep systems tidy (CRM etc.), and help us run a tight ship.

  • Plan and run events. Summits, Dinners, Meetups, Masterclasses and more - you’ll be in charge of handling logistics, invites, speaker prep, and on-site delivery.

  • Support founder experience: Coordinate onboarding, newsletters, Slack/WhatsApp groups, and matchmaking efforts - ensuring founders get the right info at the right time.

  • Manage partnerships & perks. Own vendor relationships and help our portfolio access useful, relevant tools and deals.

  • Go the extra mile. Find thoughtful, creative ways to make the founder experience feel personal and memorable. Contribute to content and comms, and support our expert and advisory network.

  • Fix what’s broken (or boring). Notice what’s not working, suggest improvements, and take the lead on making them happen.

  • Be a force multiplier. Support the Director of Platform across broader platform projects - and fully own plenty of your own.

Job requirements

About you

  • You’re a doer - you get real satisfaction from saying, “I made this happen.”

  • You’re dependable. If you say you’ll do it, you’ll do it - and do it well.

  • You are quick on your feet. You don’t get stuck, you figure it out.

  • You’re creative and resourceful. Always thinking ahead, always finding a way.

  • You have great taste and sound judgment. You aim for excellence in every detail.

  • You’re people-savvy. Empathetic, thoughtful, and a joy to collaborate with.

  • You’re independent but collaborative. You can own a project fully, but you’re also a strong team player.

  • You don’t need a big title to care. You just want to do great work that matters.

Qualifications

  • We don’t require a specific degree or credential, but we do expect you to bring a few years of experience in fast-paced environments - ideally early-stage startups or VC - so you can hit the ground running from day one.

  • Experiences that could set you up for success include marketing or community-focused roles, founder associate positions, or any job where you had to juggle responsibilities, move quickly, and figure things out from scratch.

  • Equally important is empathy for the work our founders do. Understanding their challenges, and being motivated to make their lives easier, is at the core of everything we do on the platform team.

  • This isn’t a role for someone who prefers “strategy” over action. If you thrive on running things, fixing things, and getting a lot done alongside great people, we’d love to hear from you.
