Point Nine is an early-stage venture capital firm focused on B2B software. Rooted in Europe but investing globally, we partner with around 10-15 new companies each year. To date, we’ve invested in 200+ startups, including Algolia, Attio, Contentful, Clio, Delivery Hero, Docplanner, Factorial, incident.io, Loom, Poolside, Preply, Revolut, Sereact, Zendesk, and many other amazing companies that make up the P9 Family.
We’re currently looking for a Finance and Operations Associate (f/m) who wants to thrive in the world of VC ops long term and join us at our Berlin office.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be an essential member of our ops team and will work on lots of different tasks:
You’ll be our chief data collector (especially regarding portfolio companies) and our data analyst/provider (eg. for Dealroom publications etc.).
You’ll own and maintain a consistent portfolio KPI reporting.
You’ll be responsible for the transaction processing (payments, capital calls) for multiple international entities.
You’ll be working on preparatory bookkeeping (bank statements, invoices, and travel expenses through Candis and Pleo) and digital filing for our funds and related companies.
Youʼll get exposure to a large range of transactions (from seed and later stage rounds, through venture debt or M&A to IPOs) and will work on captables.
You’ll support the submission of regulatory reporting (eg. German Federal Bank, FATCA, CRS etc.) and preparation of financial statements and audits.
You’ll drive the transformation of our workflows towards more automation and help implement state-of-the-art tools.
You’ll assist our legal team in compiling investment related documentation.
You’ll report to our Operating Partner but will support the whole ops team.

What you bring
You love the mix of finance, ops and technology and you want to make an impact in a highly dynamic environment. Besides, we expect:
A university degree with an excellent academic record.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in VC/PE operations, fund administration, a family office, Big-4 firm or banking.
You have strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of Excel and Google suite; you enjoy working with data and keeping it clean.
You’re tech‑curious and like using automation tools to make life easier.
You’re fluent in English and German.
