Junior Fund Operations Associate (f/m/d)

…who wants to enter the world of VC Fund Finance / Ops and join us at our Berlin office.

What will you be working on?

As our Junior Fund Operations Associate, you’ll be an essential member of our operations team. Ownership of individual routines will be handed over to you piece by piece as you grow into the role. You’ll report to our Head of Finance & Ops and work closely with the whole operations team.

Your responsibilities (roughly in order of weight) would include, but are not limited to:

• Portfolio Monitoring: You’ll be our Chief Data Collector across portfolio companies (KPIs, annual accounts and more) and own the consistency of our portfolio monitoring.

• Cash Flow & Capital: You’ll assist end-to-end with short-term cash flow planning for our funds and co-own payment execution, capital calls and invoice processing.

• Fund Accounting & Reporting: You’ll run preparatory bookkeeping and assist with our regulatory reporting across Bundesbank, AWV, FATCA and CRS.

• Fund Governance: You’ll support investment committee reviews, PFIC-testing, board seat administration and investor data collection.

• Compliance & Special Projects: You’ll partner with our Anti Money-Laundering Officer (AML-Officer) on business partner due diligence, manage financial statement administration and support legal and operations on transactions.

Beyond the day-to-day, we want someone who brings real process and data thinking. We’re an automation and AI-driven team: we already run a number of agents. Ideally, you already have a track record, or at least genuine interest in AI/code-driven process automation. Depending on interest and capacity, there’s room to grow into strategic side projects with firm-wide impact.

What do we think an ideal candidate looks like?

You’re motivated by the mix of finance and operations, and you want to make a real impact in a fast-moving environment. Additionally, we’re looking for:

• Mindset first: you’re hungry, you learn fast, you take ownership quickly and you’re genuinely comfortable getting hands-on with tech.

• You have one to three years’ of relevant experience working in an operations department of a VC/PE/family office, fund administrator, Big4/Next10 firm, startup, bank or similar.

• You have excellent analytical and finance skills as well as a “can-do” mentality.

• You’re great at self-organisation and task prioritisation, work autonomously and are a strong team player.

• You have a down to earth mentality, excellent communication skills and empathy in relationships.

• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and don’t mind swings in workload.

• Strong Excel and Google Workspace skills.

• Comfortable navigating the AI ecosystem and hands-on with AI agents/workflows.

• You’re fluent in written and spoken English and German.
